About (Interpreting)

BSL/ENGLISH INTERPRETING

I have been a qualified BSL/English Interpreter for almost 20 years and I absolutely love my job!

During that time I have worked across many different domains, and I remain committed to developing as a professional, ensuring my skills stay up-to-date and that I continue to provide the best access I can to both deaf and hearing people that I meet in my role.

MUSIC

Since 2015 I have been specializing in Performance based interpreting with a focus on working within the music and arts industry. I have a wealth of experience covering music gigs and festivals at small venues, large venues and stages or large capacity stadiums/events. I also work within the art and theatre industries supporting deaf and hearing rehearsal rooms, performances and exhibitions. My own practice as an artist means I have a great understanding of the nuances, language and challenges within these areas.

SPORT

My stadium/large event work has also more recently included sporting events such as Silverstone F1, Wembley for Football and Allianz Stadium for Rugby, and various awards events. Having played rugby when younger, and more recently joining Rushmoor Community Women’s football team, I love to incorporate my interests with my work!
